We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 6th International Symposium on Broomrape in Sunflower & 1st Meeting on Sunflower Biotic and Abiotic Stress, which will take place in Novi Sad, Serbia (Sheraton Hotel), from June 15-18, 2026. The Symposium is organized by the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Novi Sad (IFVCNS) and the International Sunflower Association (ISA). This will be the sixth specific Symposium on broomrape in sunflower, after those held in Turkey (2008), Moldova (2011), Spain (2014), Romania (2018) and Turkey (2023).

Payment:

The following payment methods will be available:
• Bank Transfer: An invoice with detailed bank information will be sent to your email (EUR / RSD) upon online registration. Bank fees must be paid by the participant. Please cover all bank transaction costs – option OUR. We require the complete invoice amount to be received. This option will only be available until 31st May 2026.
• Online card payment: When choosing this option, you will receive a direct link for the payment of the registration fee. VISA, MasterCard and American Express are accepted. All payments by card will be made in the local currency of the Republic of Serbia – dinar (RSD). For the informative overview of prices in other currencies, the middle exchange rate of the National Bank of Serbia is used. The charge of using a debit card will be expressed in your local currency according to the conversion rate determined by the card issuer, which cannot be known to us at the time of the transaction. As a result of this conversion, there may be a slight difference from the original price listed on our site. Thank you for your understanding. Bank charges are the responsibility of the participant and have to be covered by the participant therefor the price of the registration fee will be incrased for 3%

• Payments by personal checks will not be accepted.
• Payment on-site: Cash (EUR or RSD) or credit card (VISA, MasterCard and American Express) will be accepted.
• An invoice for registration payment will be provided at the venue registration desk upon request.
• A confirmation email will be sent to each participant once the payment of the registration fee has been received.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Notifications of cancellations or changes must be sent in writing to the Symposium secretariat (e-mail: mice@panacomp.net)
• Name changes will be accepted until May 31st 2026. Beyond this date, it will be considered as a cancellation requiring a new registration.
• For cancellations received before May 31st 2026, a refund will be issued with a reduction of 50 € for administrative expenses.
• For cancellations received after May 31st 2026 or for registered participants who fail to attend, no refund will be made.

Abstract Submission:

The ORO-STRESS 2026 Scientific Committee invites authors to submit abstracts for review. All submitted abstracts will be peer-reviewed. One author can submit a maximum of two abstracts.

When submitting your abstract, please indicate:
• Your preferred presentation type (Oral or Poster)
• The relevant topic for your submission

The Scientific Committee will decide on the presentation type and topic assignment.
Only accepted abstracts will be included in the official meeting program. Additionally, the presenter must complete registration and fee payment for final acceptance and publication

The conference will take place in hotel Sheraton, Novi Sad, Serbia

The City of Novi Sad, the capital of the autonomous province of Vojvodina, lying on the banks of the Danube river, in the south of the Pannonian plain, facing the slopes of Fruška Gora (17 culturally and historically significant monasteries).

In addition, there are 17th-century Petrovaradin Fortress, an appealing old city center, numerous museums, prestigious Novi Sad Fair, as well as many world famous festivals and events. Novi Sad was a European Capital of Culture in 2022.

The nearest airport to the conference venue is Belgrade Airport “Nikola Tesla”, 80 km away from Novi Sad.
